Uri Ben-Yashar has retired as a Chairman, and CEO of National Maintenance System Inc, and East Coast Lot and Pavement Maintenance Inc. in January 2018 following the acquisition of the companies by KBS Inc. During his 25 years with NMS, and EC, he grew the revenue of his companies to 23M, with services in 42 States. Under his leadership NMS achieved a lucrative position in the National facilities Management industry, with contract with Walmart, Target, Walgreen, Low’s, USPS, and Amazon, as well as JLL, CBRE, and Cushman Wakefield, just to name a few.
Mr. Ben-Yashar started East Coast Lot and Pavement Maintenance Inc., a local exterior service company (sweeping, landscaping, snowplowing, asphalt maintenance) in 1993. He expanded the services, and opened offices in CT, NY and NH.
In 2008, the industry seemed to aggregate services under third parties. Mr. Ben-Yashar, in respond to the change, opened National Maintenance Systems that offered the same exterior services Nationally throw sub-contractors.
In 1997 Mr. Ben-Yashar opened GNY Realty Inc. for the purpose of investing in Residential Real Estate. Today he owns, and manage, more than 20 buildings, and over 100 rental Units in the Boston area.
In 2010 Mr. Ben-Yashar opened YNG Investments Inc., in order to invest, mostly in early stage companies. He invested in 6 companies and serve as a board director in one of them.
In 2019 Mr. Ben Yashar joined Alex Beletsky and opened BYGvision LLC. a company that would specialize in RE investments, where the model would be to bring in Limited Partners, as investors, and serve as General Partners. Currently, BYG owns 80% of Niagara Hospitality LLC. An Air B&B portfolio in Niagara Falls, and 80% of “River Oaks”, a 51 units student housing in Athens, GA.
Mr. Ben-Yashar graduated from Johnson & Walls University, with a bachelor’s in hospitality management, and Business Management. He also graduated from Bryant University with an MBA.
Mr. Ben-Yashar has participated in, and contributed to various philanthropic fundraising initiatives, both in Israel and the US. He lives with wife Deganit in Boston and are patents to three children.
